Premise: 9/10 Drac's back and Alucard has to put him down. Castlevania?is a great legend in a better game. Graphics: 11/10 I know its a 2D side-scroller but the backgrounds are amazing for the PS1. Even the foreground elements like enemies look awesome. Gameplay: 7/10 Its a basic side-scroller with RPG elements but it plays alot like a hack-n-slash. It gets repetitive but some of the platforming elements and hidden content make it fun. The coolest part of the game is the second half. I'm not going to go into too much detail and ruin the story but the extension of the storyline and castle make it really interesting. The game has several engings and for once the only difference isn't time and % collected. Fun: 8/10 The game gets repetitive but that hasn't stopped me from playing it through a few times. Its different from most RPGs in that there is no need for grinding. It can be useful and land you some cool weapons but its easy on casual gamers. Difficulty: 1-10/10 Some parts of the game can be beat without taking a single hit. Then you have parts which involve?constant reloads. One boss in particular took me 4 revives and anyone who has played this game knows who I'm talking about. The?final boss (Either way you get through the game) is challenging enough but can usually be killed first or second try. OVERALL:?9/10? |
