Mechapixel is a place for Photoshoppers to duke it out in a daily grafitti or weekly slag tournament.

Premise: 10/10

If it wasn't for sites like this then photoshopping probably would have never came around to be as big of a success. The competition always inspires people to get better so they can win. Anyone who has seen the top entries at mechapixel knows that alot of competition must be going on.

Design: 10/10

It has a design featuring 8-bit, the mascot, on every page. Thats not the cool part though, every Friday is Puddin' Friday and the pages reflect it. The banners, which are user-created, are also the product of competition and are sweet.

Humor: 10/10

If you go through the contest archive you'll know what I mean. Thats only the surface too, just try out the forums if you don't believe me.

Annoyances: 0/10

This is the only time a 0 is good. There are no pop-ups or ads to be found, the community is nice, and spam is fairly rare.

Usability: 9/10

The site is easy to navigate, and always loads fast. However, occasionally there are problems during contests but they don't last very long.

Pricing: 10/10

It's free to join and compete. If you want some more time on each contest and a say of what contests go up you'll need to pay a small fee.
