The station was abandon in 2167. And you could tell. As we approached in the dropship we could see the exterior had seen better days. Our mission was simple; Explore the station. Fleet Com had been getting strange signals from the station, and though pirates may have moved in. My squad was 12 of the best marines in the Fleet, which is probably why we got stuck with all these damn "exploring missions". There is always a planet or a Stations that needs to be explored. We landed in the hanger and Sarge split us into 3 groups. 4 men each. Something just didn't feel right with the station...Although none of us could see any reason to think like that. My squad proceed to the stations barracks, and it was very clear the station was being used by pirates. McKinley, our squads captain, reported to Sarge. We proceed deeper and Deeper into the station, with no encounters of any kind. Johnson's Squad reported in saying they heard some kind of animal, but couldn't find any sort of proof. Our squad arrived at the stations rec area, and we found out what happened to the pirates. inside we found a PILE of bodies, all fresh...its was horrible... (Dylan cups his hands to his face, than continues) We looked for any survivors, but nothing was alive at all. Sarge ordered a retreat, whatever killed the pirated could still be somewhere on the station. We began back to the dropship, but we lost radio contact with Johnson's team. Sarge ordered us to loop back around and link up with Johnson's squad, while he continued on to the dropship. We Proceeded to the last know location of Johnsons last known location... (Dylan pauses) And yah, we found em...but they were all KIA...just like the damn pirates. there were shell casings all over the floor, at least they put up a fight. We contacted Sarge about the losses, but he had more bad news. it seems some one or some thing destroyed the dropship. It was very clear we needed to get off this station, but we could contact fleet com on the radio, so Sarge gave us orders to fall back to the Comm station and contact Fleet Com from there. We started back, but thats when all hell broke loose. These...thing came out from everywhere. They were sorta human looking, but larger, with 2 massive arms, and two shorter legs. there faces were covered by there armor, but they had one giant hold for there eye. there headed were shrunken into there body. They were defiantly aliens. One of the creatures raised his hand, which had something that looked like a rifle, and fired at McKinley. The projectile hit him square in the chest, and exploded, almost ripping him in half. Another Alien threw some kind of grenade, which landed on the floor next to us, me and Seph were able to jump away, but Myred was incinerated by the blast. Not just killed, he was gone. I raised my Weapon and fired at the alien, and managed to put it down with almost half a clip, Seph tossed one of his own grenades and blew two more of them away. We turned to run, and nearly hit one of the aliens right behind us. It raised its rifle to fire, but i jammed my rifle into its eye hole and fired. orange blood splattered the deck, and some got on my arm. It burned like acid, it burnt right through my armor and scorched my arm...i still have a scar. (Dylan pulls up his sleeve and shows a bad scar running the length of his right arm.) Me and Seph continued to run to the Comm station, hoping to get Fleet Com to sent a transport. unfortinally, the aliens must have known what we were doing, cause all we found at the Comm station was a destroyed computer and more aliens. I raised my M24 rifle and squeezed off a few round into the head of an alien. I turned to run, but felt an impact on my Left arm. I looked down to see one of those needles from the alien weapon protruding from my arm. I tried to pull it out, but it exploded. From then on i had no feeling in my left arm. I turned to see Sarge and his squad kill the remaining aliens in the Comm station. H He said there was a Wraith fighter still in hanger 4, but we had to hurry before the aliens found and destroyed it. We ran to hanger 4, but meet a group of hostiles along the way. Sarge took a round to the face, and Jenkins and Mendoza were both killed by an alien grenade. Me, Seph, and Waters were the only ones left. we ran as fast as we could to the hanger. we got there just in time to see a group of aliens blasting through the hanger door, we opened fire and took them all down, but Waters was killed in the crossfire. Me and Seph go into the Wraith and got the hell out of that station...but thing outside were much, much worse. Hundreds of Alien spaceships had appeared, and were laying waste to out Fleet. They had three times as many ships, and most of ours were only Destroyer class. I counted 3 Gladiator class ships in the battlegroup. It seemed the alien ships fired some kind of concentrated Plasma beams. I saw one Glad, the Washington, take a round. it went clean through the ship, completely destroying it. We decided our ship wasn't going to matter in this fight, so we bailed. We went straight to warp and left the battle behind. I heard later the rest of our fleet got there and destroyed the alien force. Pfft...one of our only victories... |
