Transformers 2 tried to build upon the awesome effects of the original. Micheal Bay also pulled out his usual exploding bag of tricks. This is why it was good. A movie about giant robots should be about combat. Screw plot, I want to see cars shooting the hell out of each other. The weak plot and insane camera twirling, not to mention hit-or-miss comedy, was fairly offset by the fights. The movie tried too hard to appeal to a wide audience, and should have been tailored to the fans. The combat, and Megan Fox, are flaunted constantly which is what saves this movie. The ending is predictable, and mirrors every episode ever. It could have been better, but it wasn't too bad of a flick.
