Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a musical/movie about a murderous barber and his accomplice. Plot: 8/10 It may seem odd that a musical would be entertaining and manly, but Sweeney Todd is. It balances the fun and catchyness of a musical with scenes of murder. The overall plot is good, but it will seem eerily familiar. While the movie itself is good and most of its components are great, the effects are terrible. The blood looks like tomato soup, and everyone one is filled with 3 gallons at 80 psi. One cut to the throat releases a Bellagio styled fountain of soup. All that was missing was a grilled cheese sandwich and it could have been a grade school lunch. Tim Burton maintains a Jack Skellington look, ridiculously pale, for the main characters. The movie has an interesting style, catchy tunes, and effects that might make you laugh. OVERALL: 7/10 Add us on:
