"Sucker Punch" is the latest film from Zach Snyder, of "300" and "Watchmen" fame. It stars Emily Browning as Babydoll, a girl falsely accused of a mental breakdown and committed to an asylum by her evil stepfather, who needs her out of the way if he wants the money that her mother left her. Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Jamie Chung and Carla Gugino round off the cast as the fellow "inmates" who work with Babydoll to escape from their psychiatric prison.

Plot: 8/10

Ending: 7/10
Watching a dragon fight a helicopter: Wet dream

Overall: 8/10

Final Word: This movie entered the scene with a lot of hype, and there are many who feel that it fell somewhat short of its expectations. The movie is solid all the way up until the end, where it takes somewhat of a copout and has a cheesy final scene that I feel completely undermines the rest of the movie. It seems like Snyder couldn't think of a badass ending, so he kinda gave up and just let the rest of the film carry the finale. Still, the movie is definitely worth watching, and the PG-13 cut that was shown in theaters is bound to be released on DVD as unrated, so I imagine that it can only get better.
