    When I saw the trailer for a new Trek I freaked. I was excited to see a classic return with some force and style. The nerd community had been devastated after Episode I, and this was the return of kick ass space battles. I would have been in the 7:00 show opening night but I had other plans. When I showed up to the theater I was startled by the utter lack of movie goers, and especially fellow nerds. The return of Trek should have been bigger, but Bloomington-Normal isn't a nerd nest.
    Regardless to the nerd density, I sat in amazement and beheld Star Trek. Imagine the greatness of the show with uber effects. While the time traveler's paradox is cheesy it fit in. I want to personally thank whoever chose the cast. All of the actors fit the persona of their character, and Simon Pegg as Scotty was a great choice. Its been tailored to a wider audience, but it should still please die hard fans. It's a must see.
