Planet Terror is one of the best tribute movies of recent years. It pays homage to the great grindhouse movies of the 1970s, and the zombie genre in particular. It is made to look old, and there is even one of those classic "Missing Reel" moments. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and I think this is one of the movie's strongest points. It is the definition of an action movie that is there only to entertain. And entertain it does. The movie has lots of blood, language, and not a lot of story, but that's a good thing. Also, Bruce Willis and Quentin Tarantino make appearances.
