Paranormal Activity can only be described as The Blair Witch Project with a camera that usually isn't moving. The chick in the movie is being hunted periodically by a demon whose existence is made known by, you guessed it, paranormal activity. Based upon my experience* with the paranormal, dicking around and being a complete tool whilst a demon is HAUNTING YOUR ASS is a terrible idea. Why in the hell would you want to communicate with a force from HELL, AS IN SATAN'S DOMAIN? The movie has a nice feel, partially good acting (definitely not on the "expert's" part), and a varying fear factor.
Several members of our group jumped out of their seats and pulled all-nighters out of fear. One guy was completely unphased, and didn't even flinch when a certain administrator jumped out of his chair, and unleashed several choice words. This administrator decided to utilize the energy drinks on hand to remain awake, while making salt circles/barriers to ward off demons. A few hours later when he recieved a phone call he nearly threw his phone across the room on accident.

Notes: I mean experience in the loosest terms here. As in no personal experiences, or having read over primary or secondary sources. My experience is mostly derived from this single movie, and those like it.
