Dusk. After weeks of brutal battles two warriors stood; the Tree, evil and twisted. Corrupted beyond measure, the Shark, a brutal warrior with great intelligence and strength. They stood, facing each other in a cold, lonely arena. The Shark, genetically altered to live outside of water. The Tree, large and corrupt. The arena, half water, half land. The two enemies watched each other, waiting for the moment to strike. After minutes of silence, the Tree let out a horrible howl, and raised his machine gun. (Yes, this tree carries machine guns) The Shark, seeing the danger, quickly dove into the water. Bullets whizzed threw the water, leaving trails of bubbles in their wake. The Shark swam with passion, dodging the cold metal cartridges. The Tree scanned the water assuming he has taken out the Shark. For three minutes, the land was still. Suddenly, the Shark exploded from the water, holding his katana in his fin. The Tree had precious little time to act. The Tree quickly raised his machine guns, but was too late. The Shark brutally chopped off multiple branched from the Tree, including those holding the machine guns. The Tree let out a howl, and grabbed the Shark with its remaining limbs. The Shark attempted to chop more branches off the Tree, but the Tree was prepared. The leafy warriors grabbed the katana and sent it flying out of the arena. The Shark, realizing he was in serious trouble, bit down on the Trees trunk. With a powerful snap of his jaw, the Watery Beast ripped a large chunk from the truck of his nemesis. The Tree threw his enemy down upon the ground, and quickly grabbed the nearest machine gun. The Shark, still dazed from the throw, had no time to react. The Tree took aim, and bullets sang their song of death. Spent casings littered the arena floor. The Sharks body convulsed with each shot, bringing the Water Beast ever closer to death. After half a clip, the machine gun rang empty. The Tree tossed it aside, and walked slowly towards his opponent. "Alas, you have lost. Prepare to die." The Tree said as he picked up the other machine gun and aimed for the Sharks head. "Not today!" The Shark managed. With a powerful swipe of his tail, the Shark sent the Tree flying threw the air, where he landed in the cold murky water. On land, the Tree will always win. But at sea, the tides of victory turn. The Shark quickly jumped into the deep water, diving as far down as possible. Once at the bottom, the Shark torpedoed up to the top, as fast as his body could manage. The Tree, out of his element, attempted to swim for the surface, but the Shark was quicker. With a powerful smash, the Shark slammed into the Tree at full speed, pushing the Tree through the water faster then its body was made for. The Shark pushed the Tree faster and faster, until the Trees body could handle no more. Sharks bodies were made to handle the changes in pressure under water, but Trees bodies were not. With on final push, the Shark retreated back into the deaths of the water. The Tree's body could handle no more, and exploded with violent force, unable to handle the changes in pressure. Pieces of shrapnel rained down upon the arena. The Shark emerged from the water, wounded. Without a word he left the arena, awaiting anyone else willing to challenge him. |
