It was a cold and misty night in Hyrule. Link was riding past the Lon Lon Ranch when he heard the flapping of wings. It wasn't unusual but he began to pay closer attention to his surroundings. Suddenly out of nowhere an enormous bat flew in front of him narrowly missing his face by a few inches. Link pulled out his bow and shot an arrow to where he thought the bat would be. He didn't see where the bat or arrow had gone, but after looking back for a while and hearing nothing he continued on. Before he could get too far away a fireball zoomed past his head. This time Link jumped off of Epona figuring that it would be easier to fight on his feet than a frightened horse.
    The bat flew into sight again and Link readied his shield and the Master Sword. When the fireballs came this time, they were all blocked with his shield. He took a swing at the bat and barely nicked it. It flew off a few feet and then transformed into a tall, pale, white haired, vampire. Alucard quickly drew his sword and shield and began to duel with Link. Both were skilled swordsmen and neither seemed to be able to land a hit. Alucard attempted to throw several fireballs from his cloak, but Link skillfully blocked all of his shots. Link charged the vampire once again and Alucard put up no guard. The Master Sword came down towards the vampire for one last time.

The Survivor is . . .

However the sword cut through air. Alucard had transformed into a mist that Link swung right through. Link's Sword had become stuck in the ground, and Alucard returned to his usual state. Link tried to pull is sword from the earth but it was too late, and Alucard stabbed his opponent through the heart. Link fell to the ground unable to breathe and Alucard turned away to continue along his journey.
